For a county that prides itself on its discerning tastes — whether it's the best bike trail, the just-right roast of coffee, or the precise place to be (or not be) seen — Marin has never lacked for opinions. For more than six decades, the Pacific Sun has been there to document them, amplify them and, occasionally, stir the pot.
Which brings us to the next chapter of that annual ritual of collective taste-making: Best of Marin.
The nominations have been heard. The cases have been made. The cafés, yoga studios, shops, services, and spots you would have otherwise gatekept — they're all on the ballot now. And starting May 18, the real contest begins.
Final voting is officially open through June 14 — your chance to weigh in on who truly reigns supreme across Arts & Culture, Beer, Wine & Spirits, Families & Pets, Health & Beauty, Restaurants, Services, and Shopping. The full Marin ecosystem, from polished to pleasantly idiosyncratic.
The results arrive August 12, in our biggest issue of the year — a curated roll call of what Marin values most right now.
